What is stepping in the bucket, and how do you fix it?

Stepping in the bucket pulls the front side and the barrel away from the plate, so pitches on the outer half are hard to reach. The fixes work on where the front foot lands, with drills that keep the stride toward the pitcher. The videos show a fix and a stride drill.

What it looks like: The front foot strides away from the plate (toward third base for a right-handed hitter, first base for a left-handed one) instead of toward the pitcher.
