How should a young hitter stand and hold the bat?
An athletic stance has the feet about shoulder-width apart, the knees bent and the weight on the balls of the feet, so your player can move before the swing. The bat sits in the fingers, not deep in the palms. The videos show the stance and the grip.
What it looks like: Feet too narrow or too wide, weight back on the heels, or the bat held deep in the palms.
