How does a hitter handle the outside pitch?
An outside pitch is hit a little deeper in the zone and driven to the opposite field. The videos show where contact happens on an outside pitch and how hitters drive it the other way.
What it looks like: Pitches on the outer half are pulled into weak ground balls or missed, and nothing goes to the opposite field.
