What is long toss, and how do players build up to it?

Long toss is playing catch while the two players move apart a little at a time, inside a regular throwing routine, to build the arm up. The videos show Jaeger Sports’ throwing program and a major-league pitcher’s long-toss tips.

What it looks like: An arm that is not built up before the season, or hard throws with no warm-up.
