Facts as the maker states them, read 20 Oct 2026

A Pro Select catcher's mitt, 33.5 inches, right-hand throw only, in camel. The page describes premium Steerhide leather, professional patterns, professional-level lace, a thumb slot and a 3D silicone logo.

Type	Catcher's mitt
Size	33.5 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Leather	Premium Steerhide leather What this means Heavy, durable adult-cattle leather. Stiff at first, lasts for years. Most pro lines use it.
Hand	Right-hand throw

LeatherstatedSteerhide
Break-instatedMediumStated: page says it breaks in quicker or easier, not that it is game-ready.
What this means
Needs a week or two of catch and shaping before it closes well.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
