Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 33.5-inch baseball catcher's mitt with a traditional web and an open back with finger shield, built from 5 oz steer hide leather with a deep pocket, shock pads sewn into the lining and deer-tanned cowhide lining in the finger stalls. Sold in black for right-hand throw only.

TypeCatcher's mitt
Size33.5 in
What this means

Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently.

Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.

Leather5 oz. Steer hide leather
What this means

The maker says
  • The deep pocket design dramatically decreases spin and increases control.
  • The shock pads sewn into the lining prevent injury to the palm.
  • The leather is strong enough to weather your toughest games for years and is pre-treated to allow for a short break-in time.
