Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12-inch open-back Fortus Advanced Youth series glove with an I web, made of steer hide leather with a pre-treated leather palm, lightweight leather backing, wool finger padding, finger-stall supports and 100 tensile strength lacing laced through the fingers, listed for infield and outfield use. Sold in black for right- or left-hand throw.

TypeYouth fielder's glove
Size12 in
What this means

Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently.

Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.

WebI Web
What this means

An open web shaped like an I. Light, quick to clear dirt, lets the ball out fast. The infielder's standard.

LeatherSteer Hide Leather
What this means

Heavy, durable adult-cattle leather. Stiff at first, lasts for years. Most pro lines use it.
