Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12-inch open-back Fortus series glove with a Net-T web and a black leather palm, listed for infield and outfield use in baseball and fastpitch by youth and adult players. Offered in black for right- or left-hand throw.

Type	Fielder's glove
Size	12 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.

Hand	Right-hand throw or left-hand throw
Ages	can be used not only for youth but also for our adults as well

Fit profile

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherunknownNot known
Break-inderivedGame-readyDerived: youth line, built soft by convention.
What this means
Soft out of the box and usable the first day. Made with softer leather that will not last as long as a stiff pro glove, which is fine for a growing player.
Tip: For most players under 12 this is the right answer.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
