Facts as the maker states them, read 21 Oct 2026

A 11.25-inch youth glove in the Z5 Craftsman Youth series with an I web, premium cowhide Nameshi leather and a conventional back with a soft wrist liner. It has a narrow-fit wrist and shorter finger stalls, gets an extra factory break-in, and comes in right- and left-hand throw in a black and camel colourway.

Type	Youth glove
Size	11.25 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Web	I Web What this means An open web shaped like an I. Light, quick to clear dirt, lets the ball out fast. The infielder's standard.
Leather	Premium Cowhide Nameshi Leather
Hand	Right-hand throw or left-hand throw

The maker says	The Premium Cowhide Nameshi Leather is lightweight, easy to shape and very durable. An extra factory break-in process ensures a game-ready feel. SSK glove lace is put through rigorous tests for strength and durability. The palm shell leather overlap increases pocket stability and helps the glove shape over time.

Fit profile

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedCowhide
Break-instatedGame-readyStated: page uses break-in or softness wording.
What this means
Soft out of the box and usable the first day. Made with softer leather that will not last as long as a stiff pro glove, which is fine for a growing player.
Tip: For most players under 12 this is the right answer.
Closing effortderivedEasyDerived: soft youth build in a small pattern.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
