Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12-inch first base mitt in Bradley's Next Play Pro Kip limited-edition line, offered in right- and left-hand throw and four colourways. The shell is premium Pro Kip leather with a cushioned sheepskin palm lining, cow-leather finger lining, full-grain cow leather welting and binding, an acrylic fur wrist and USA steerhide lacing, and the maker says it needs 70% break-in.

Type	First base mitt
Size	12 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Leather	Premium Pro Kip leather What this means Light, tight-grained leather from young cattle. The premium choice for pro infield gloves: light and long-lasting, but stiff at first.

Hand	Right-hand throw or left-hand throw

Fit profile

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedKip
Break-inderivedStiffDerived from stated player break-in of 70%.
What this means
Pro-grade leather such as Japanese kip or steerhide. Can take weeks to months to break in and a young player may not be able to close it at all at first. Lasts for years once broken in.
Tip: Do not buy a stiff pro glove for a player under 12 unless you are ready to break it in for them.
Closing effortderivedHardDerived: stiff build in a mitt or large pattern.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
