Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12 inch H-web glove in a youth fit for ages 10-14, with a USA steerhide shell, sheepskin palm lining, cow leather finger lining, USA steerhide welting and binding, acrylic fur wrist and USA steerhide lacing, in right-hand throw. It is a one-off custom build in black and gray.

Type	Youth fielder's glove
Size	12 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Web	H-Web What this means An open web shaped like an H. Common on outfield and third-base gloves; sturdy and lets the player see through it on fly balls.
Leather	USA Steerhide leather What this means Heavy, durable adult-cattle leather. Stiff at first, lasts for years. Most pro lines use it.
Hand	Right-hand throw
Ages	Youth Fit (Ages 10-14)
Also on the page	Youth Fit (Ages 10-14) Shell: Naturally smooth, USA Steerhide leather Lining: Cushioned sheepskin for palm, premium cow leather for fingers Welting: Premium USA Steerhide Binding: Premium USA Steerhide Wrist: Acrylic fur Lacing: USA steerhide pro-grade lace leather Color: Black/Gray

Fit profile

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedSteerhide
Break-inderivedMediumDerived: youth line in steerhide; youth builds are cut softer than pro.
What this means
Needs a week or two of catch and shaping before it closes well.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
