Type	Infield/pitcher's glove
Size	12 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.

Fit profile

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedKip
Break-inderivedStiffDerived from stated player break-in of 70%.
What this means
Pro-grade leather such as Japanese kip or steerhide. Can take weeks to months to break in and a young player may not be able to close it at all at first. Lasts for years once broken in.
Tip: Do not buy a stiff pro glove for a player under 12 unless you are ready to break it in for them.
Closing effortderivedHardDerived: stiff build in a mitt or large pattern.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
