A 12.25 inch Pro Preferred glove on the 200 pattern with a 2-Piece Solid web, mesh back, finger hood and conventional back, a Gameday 57 Zack Wheeler pro game day pattern in right hand throw, in Black. It is built from full-grain kip leather with a Pittards sheepskin lining, moldable padding and a wool wrist lining.

Type	Pitcher's glove
Size	12.25 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.

The maker says	It was artfully crafted from ultra-premium kip leather for an unrivaled look and feel. Wheeler trusts his 12.25-inch 200 pattern glove to field his position on the mound. A soft mesh back and finger hood preferred by many top pros on the mound. It is hand built by the same craftsmen as baseball's top pros.

LeatherstatedKip
Break-instatedGame-readyStated: page uses break-in or softness wording.
What this means
Soft out of the box and usable the first day. Made with softer leather that will not last as long as a stiff pro glove, which is fine for a growing player.
Tip: For most players under 12 this is the right answer.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
