Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12.75-inch open-back outfield glove with an H web, made of pre-treated 5.5 oz premium steer hide with deer tanned cowhide finger stall linings, shock pads sewn inside the lining and thumb and pinky supports. Sold in black/tan for right- or left-hand throw, listed for baseball outfield as well as fastpitch and slowpitch softball.

Type	Outfield glove
Size	12.75 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Web	H Web What this means An open web shaped like an H. Common on outfield and third-base gloves; sturdy and lets the player see through it on fly balls.
Leather	5.5 oz. premium steer hide leather What this means Heavy, durable adult-cattle leather. Stiff at first, lasts for years. Most pro lines use it.

Maker SKU	RV1961-22
The maker says	The thinner leather allows for a softer feel and the pre-treated line has much shorter break in times. Shock pads give better palm protection by covering a larger area of the hand. Its exclusive deep pocket design allows for better control and less spin. Thumb and pinky supports help retain the glove shape.

Break-instatedMediumStated: page says it breaks in quicker or easier, not that it is game-ready.
What this means
Needs a week or two of catch and shaping before it closes well.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
