Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12.5-inch open-back 22 Series outfield glove with an H web, handcrafted from pre-treated 5.5 oz US steer hide leather with black lace, a deep and wide pocket, Shock Pads sewn inside the lining, heavy-duty thumb and pinky loops and supports, and deer-tanned cowhide finger stall lining. Sold in black for right-hand throw only.

Type	Outfield glove
Size	12.5 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Web	H Web What this means An open web shaped like an H. Common on outfield and third-base gloves; sturdy and lets the player see through it on fly balls.
Leather	5.5 oz. premium steer hide leather What this means Heavy, durable adult-cattle leather. Stiff at first, lasts for years. Most pro lines use it.
Back	Open
Hand	Right-hand throw
Level	designed for the player who likes a softer fielders glove

Maker SKU	RV1923-22
The maker says	This glove is a touch softer than its Pro line of gloves. The H-web stops the spin of the ball on sharply hit ground balls and lets the player line the ball up through the webbing on high pop flies. The H-web allows a wider pocket and added reach. The deep and wide pocket accommodates softballs better. The thinner leather allows a softer feel and the pre-treatment allows much shorter break in times. The Shock Pads give better palm protection by covering a larger area of the hand. Each glove is individually handcrafted by Master Craftsman.

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedSteerhide
Break-instatedMediumStated: page says it breaks in quicker or easier, not that it is game-ready.
What this means
Needs a week or two of catch and shaping before it closes well.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
