Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12.5-inch outfield glove with a dual hinge basket web and a Velcro strap back, built from 5.5 oz premium steer hide leather with shock pads sewn into the lining and deer-tanned cowhide leather finger stall lining. Sold in black; the hand selector shows only a left-hand-throw choice.

Type	Outfield glove
Size	12.5 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Web	Dual Hinge Basket Web What this means A closed, woven web that hides the ball. Pitchers use it; also common on youth gloves because it closes easily.
Leather	5.5 oz. premium steer hide leather What this means Heavy, durable adult-cattle leather. Stiff at first, lasts for years. Most pro lines use it.

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedSteerhide
Break-instatedMediumStated: page says it breaks in quicker or easier, not that it is game-ready.
What this means
Needs a week or two of catch and shaping before it closes well.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
