Facts as the maker states them, read 24 Oct 2026

A 12.5-inch closed-back Limited series first base mitt with a triple reinforced single post web, built from 6 oz premium kip leather with leather finger linings and a solid palm pad in the pocket, listed for first base in baseball and softball. Sold in black for right- or left-hand throw.

Type	First base mitt
Size	12.5 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.

LeatherstatedKip
Break-instatedMediumStated: page says it breaks in quicker or easier, not that it is game-ready.
What this means
Needs a week or two of catch and shaping before it closes well.
Closing effortderivedMediumDerived from break-in class.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
