Facts as the maker states them, read 20 Oct 2026

A 34 inch Heart of the Hide catcher's mitt on the CM41 pattern with a 1-Piece Solid web and conventional back, a Gameday 57 Cal Raleigh pro game day pattern in right hand throw, in Teal/Navy. It is built from top grade steerhide with a deer-tanned cowhide lining, moldable padding and a thermoformed wrist lining.

Type	Catcher's mitt
Size	34 in What this means Measured from the heel to the top of the index finger. Infielders use smaller gloves (10.25 to 11.75 in) for quick transfers; outfielders larger (12 to 12.75 in); first base and catcher's mitts are measured differently. Tip: Bigger is not better for a young infielder. A glove they can close beats a glove that looks like a pro's.
Web	1-Piece Solid

The maker says	It was artfully crafted from ultra-premium steer-hide leather for unmatched quality and feel. His 34-inch CM41-pattern mitt helps him make some of the hardest plays look easy. It is hand built by the same craftsmen as baseball's top pros. It features the same gameday patterns used by some of the top Gold Glovers today. It suits a collector or an athlete.

Fit profile

Stated comes off the maker's page; derived is worked out from what the maker states: its words, its leather, its numbers; graded is Patrick's call; unknown means the class is not known yet.

LeatherstatedSteerhide
Break-inderivedStiffDerived from stated player break-in of 60%.
What this means
Pro-grade leather such as Japanese kip or steerhide. Can take weeks to months to break in and a young player may not be able to close it at all at first. Lasts for years once broken in.
Tip: Do not buy a stiff pro glove for a player under 12 unless you are ready to break it in for them.
Closing effortderivedHardDerived: stiff build in a mitt or large pattern.
What this means
How hard a young hand has to squeeze to close the glove on a ball. Easy means a soft build and a smaller pattern; hard means stiff leather or a big mitt.
Tip: If your player drops balls that hit the pocket, closing effort is usually the reason, not the hands.
