Youth bat listed as the PS5Y, described as based on the PS5AP, with a .91” handle and a 2.25” barrel. The page describes a balanced feel and gives no wood, length or knob details.
| Model code | PS5Y |
|---|---|
| Barrel | the barrel is 2.25”What this meansA thinner barrel (under about 2.45 in on a wood bat), with less wood to hit with. Its size does not decide the balance: some skinny-barrel bats are end-loaded. |
| Handle | It has a .91” handle |
| Balance | BalancedWhat this meansWeight is spread evenly, so the bat feels lighter than its number. A player who uses the knob or handle to deliver the barrel often needs the weight balanced or down toward the hands. Balance is not barrel size: some big-barrel bats are balanced. Tip: Which one is right depends on your player and how consistently they deliver the barrel. |
| Compared on the page | The PS5Y is based off of our popular PS5AP and is classified as a Youth bat.; It has a slightly longer barrel than the 17Y, but is still offers a balanced feel. |
