| Model code | RC22 |
|---|---|
| Wood | MapleWhat this meansDense and hard, the most common pro wood. Hits hard and holds up when the player squares the ball up; breaks rather than flakes when mis-hit. Quality varies a lot by maker. Tip: Maple from a good maker is the best wood bat money can buy; maple from a cheap one is the worst. |
| Wood grade | sorted and graded on structural elements |
| Drop | −2, −3What this meansDrop is length minus weight: a 30 in, 20 oz bat is a -10. A bigger drop number means a lighter bat for its length. Younger players use -10 to -13; USSSA 13U is usually capped at -5; high school and college are -3. Tip: Check the drop your league allows before you look at anything else. |
| Barrel | extra-large and longer extended barrelWhat this meansA big barrel (about 2.56 in and up) gives the most hitting surface. Its size does not decide the balance: some big-barrel bats are balanced. |
| Handle | standard handleWhat this meansAbout 0.93 to 0.96 in. The usual choice: enough whip, enough strength. Tip: Most players never need to think about this one. |
| Knob | StandardWhat this meansA traditional round knob. The simplest feel and what most beginners should start with. |
| Lengths | 32, 33, 33.5, 34 in |
| Barrel end | Cupped |
| Compared on the page | Has all of the Eagle Magnum Features as listed above Plus our Ultras are Double Bone Rubbed for Maximum Hardness driving the ball farther |
| Finishes | Matte Black Handle; Gloss Black Barrel |
| Certification | BBCOR ApprovedWhat this meansRequired for high school and college: drop -3, barrel up to 2-5/8 in. From the 2028 season high school will also allow USA -4, -5 and -6 bats; 2026 and 2027 stay BBCOR only. |
